I have the honour to transmit for your
information a report by Captain R. D. Walker, M.C.,
Manager of the Kowloon-Canton Railway, on a recent visit which he undertook to ascertain the progress made in the completion of the railway between Canton and Hankow.
2. This line, if and when it is connected with
the Kowloon-Canton Railway by the construction of the much discussed loop-line in Canton, is likely to be of great importance to the commercial future of this Colony.
